Decanter Centrifuge Differential Speed Calculator
Calculate differential speed using main drive speed, back drive speed, gearbox ratio, and forward or reverse back drive rotation.
Back Drive Forward
When the back drive rotates forward, subtract back drive speed from main drive speed, then divide by the gearbox ratio.
Back Drive Reverse
When the back drive rotates in reverse, add main drive speed and back drive speed, then divide by the gearbox ratio.
Why It Matters
Differential speed affects solids conveying, retention time, cake dryness, back drive load, capacity, and overall separation performance.
