Pulley Speed Calculator

Calculate approximate driven equipment speed using motor RPM, driver pulley diameter, and driven pulley diameter.

RPM
Approximate Driven Speed
RPM
Enter motor RPM and both pulley diameters, then select Calculate Pulley Speed.

Formula Used

Driven RPM = Motor RPM × (Driver Pulley Diameter ÷ Driven Pulley Diameter)

How Pulley Size Affects Speed

A larger driver pulley increases driven speed. A larger driven pulley decreases driven speed.

Important Note

This result is theoretical. Actual speed may vary because of belt slip, pitch diameter, motor load, and equipment conditions.
